ODD FELLOWS
Oddfellows are a Hospitality firm based in Chester. The business wanted a re-brand to focus on the bar and restaurant, and were looking for something dark, edgy and whimsical.
An existing colour palette of pink, teal and purple was applied, but only to be used as highlights and accents. These bright shades worked perfectly against a dark background, and really helped make the design pop.

DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION
Sketch style illustrations and text were added across the site to achieve a playful, creative and quirky feel. The script fonts and illustrations have been designed in various colours and almost ‘glow’ against the dark backdrop.
Using these same shades, I designed animated sections (below), that change colour on hover and direct users to specific sections.
TYPEFACE CHOICES
An oversized, vintage style typeface was chosen for it’s eccentric appearance. This typeface dominates and overlaps imagery, for an on-trend look. A random selection of upper and lower case lettering keep the pages off beat and quirky, and help to highlight key words.
RESPONSIVE DESIGN
This ultra clean design works exceptionally well on mobile, and still looks great on the smallest of screens. Mobile view is so important, and I ensure to test the site methodically to guarantee an enjoyable user experience on all devices.
